Inquiry lesson implementation! Photos

The students were really engaged in the lesson.
Using the poster to have students create a model was  a great idea to drive home the concepts. They will still need to present the material in their groups as well as be quizzed on the information.

  1. Hello,

For your colleagues that may not have had a chance to read your lesson plan, can you please summarize what the lesson was about? Thanks! Amy

  2. Moi,

Your pictures look interesting, like maybe it was a lesson on volcanoes. I teach volcanoes so would love to hear more about your lesson if you get a chance to explain.

    Thank you,
    Amy Carter

  3. Moi,

Volcanoes are such an interesting topic!!!! Have you ever modeled the effects of gas buildup in a closed/vented container (such as a volcano)? I use two film canisters, one with small holes in the lid. Fill each one with water, and place an efferevescent tablet inside. Close the lid, and watch closely. My students are always excited, and are able to create accurate inferences and conclusions from the activity.

    Denise.
